Hello and welcome to the very first Banyan Blog post!
My name is Miss Scattini and I am Banyan classes teacher. Yes, I am also an Australian! It is an absolute pleasure to be here at Dorothy Barley Junior Academy.
As we are drawing toward the end of Autumn half term, it is important that we reflect upon our learning so far and celebrate our successes.
We have been focusing on many new and exciting learning topics within our classroom. These have included narrative writing, newspaper article writing, the four mathematical operations, solids and liquids and Roman history.
Overall, the general attitude and academic discipline within Banyan class is brilliant. Everyone is diligently ‘Going for Gold’ and making a serious effort to improve on an aspect of their learning every single day.
I am very proud to call Banyan my class!
