Look at the fantastic behaviour this week-keep it up Year 6!!!
Year 5 have been learning about the water cycle in science and have written song lyrics to communicate what they have learnt. Can you tell which tunes they are singing to?
In this video the children are aware that condensates is not a scientific word but have decided to use poetic license to help communicate through their song. (Click continue reading to listen to more songs from 5G).
Year 5 have become dragonologists and have been documenting new species of dragons. We have developed our sketching skills and learnt how to create detail and tone through colour and shading. Using these skills we have created illustrations of different species of dragons. In English we have created non-chronological reports to inform our readers about the different types of dragons that can be found, their habitats and nesting habits, their diet and hunting habits and how to identify them. If you want to follow in the footsteps of our dragonologists, you can gather ideas to help create your own dragon and learn how to illustrate your new species using the following links.
5G have started to choreograph dances to show their interpretations of lava flowing. They generated words to describe the movements of the lava and then tried to show those words through their movements. The videos show the first stages of their creations. Watch this space for the final production.
What words can you generate to describe the lava flow in the link?
