Two teams were chosen to represent DBJ at this years Evans-Moore Plate, 7-a-side football tournament. The year 5 team drew all 4 of their matches and only concede 1 goal! Unfortunately they didn’t make it out of their group 😩 (better luck next year). The year 6 team played with bare 7 players and won 2, drew 2 matches to put them into the semi final. This was against William Bellamy, which ended 0-0, so they had to play extra time….with the longest 3minute match, DBJ managed to score, with 2 minutes remaining! The final DBJ v Thames View A nail biting 7 minutes long, DBJ scored after 4 minutes putting us in the lead, we held on to secure the win, not conceding a goal in the whole tournament. Both teams play well, behaved well and enjoyed themselves. We would like to thank the parents for coming along and supporting their children. ⚽️😃

On Tuesday and Thursday this week DBJ took 4 teams to compete against 27 other schools in the borough. All of the children had to run a sprint, long distance, relay, standing jump and vortex throw. Our teams only had 2 weeks of lunch time training but did really well! Some of our children won their races and the Year 4 and 5 relay teams came 2nd in their races. The Year 5 team did really well coming 5th in the borough 🙂 All children worked hard but enjoyed themselves and behaved really well. WELL DONE DBJA!
