On Thursday we took 2 teams to Eastbury School to compete in the Borough Basketball Competition. 25 schools took part but only 10 can go through to the final.
Team “Blue Shorts” had 5 games, won 4 and drew 1, this made them joint top in their pool.
Team “Black Shorts” had 4 games, won 2, drew 2, this put them into 2nd place in their pool.
Both teams made the final! – wooo Hoooo 😄 The final will be held after 1/2 term.
Both teams have given up most of their lunchtimes to train & it certainly paid off…..Well done; Jessica, Nelson, Elliott, Emmanule, Kieron, Precious, Basilio, Lamina, Louie & Olomachi.

In Banyan class we start every day with Guided Reading. We have been exploring a number of text types, comprehension activities and completing an extensive activity log. Yesterday in this time, the pupils worked so diligently and enthusiastically that you could have heard a pin drop in the room! Feast your eyes upon Banyan working brilliantly!
Year 5 have been looking at reversible and irreversible changes. We melted different materials to find out which materials changed into new materials when heated and which returned to their original state. To find out more about this follow the link. http://www.bbc.co.uk/schools/scienceclips/ages/10_11/rev_irrev_changes_fs.shtml
